“A dragon that feeds on its own successes,” is how Janiuay Rural Bank Inc., President Dennis H. Locsin describes the bank’s ATM operation.Despite being a relative newcomer, Janiuay is head and shoulders at par with the most reliable ENCASH partner rural banks, being one of the most consistent winners of the Promo +1000. The bank has won twice in two months.
As ENCASH continues to expand its Automated Teller Machine (ATM) network, it will now be able to cover more areas in Camarines Norte. The network is now available in the Rural Bank of Capalonga in Capalonga and its branch in Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte. ATM installation took place in April 2009.
The deployment of the ATM is a welcome development in the area. Rather than traveling to the nearest city to transact at the bank, the local community can now do this within the confines of their own town. Further, the community can now enjoy the convenience of an ATM that accepts cards from all major ATM networks in the country – from MegaLink, to BancNet to Expressnet.
These wireless ATMs are powered by PLDT’s Shops.Work Unplugged (SWUP), using its wireless data network service to ensure connectivity even in remote locations.
