Independent ATM Deployer (IAD)
Before 2006, Independent ATM Deployers (IAD), non-bank and/or non-financial institutions that own, manage and/or place ATMs (or cash machines) in retail areas, were non-existent in the Philippines. ENCASH pioneered the idea into the country and, after a month-long collaboration with PLDT Innolab, officially launched its first-ever wireless independent ATM in Oriental Mindoro with the Rural Bank of Puerto Galera as its first site provider partner in July 2006.
Since then, ENCASH has continued to roll-out ATMs mainly in the rural and unbanked areas in partnership with rural banks, cooperatives and resorts. Driven with its mission to expand and address financial needs of remote communities, we have come up with a simple and very affordable business model aimed at adding value to our partners’ business and ultimately lend to the overall growth and development of unbanked and underserved communities.
